The Attorney General's Office (FGR) reported that it has handed over the bodies of the 13 people who died in the derailment of the Interoceanic Train in Oaxaca. The agency also reported progress in interventions regarding the extraction of the locomotive's black box, the lifting of the derailed unit, and the practice of expert examinations. It detailed that personnel from the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor's Office (Fecor) is working with various federal, state, and local institutions to advance the investigation plan. As has been stated, the priority is the comprehensive repair of the damage to the victims, in close coordination with the Executive Commission for Assistance to Victims (CEAV), so that what happened is investigated in accordance with the law. It has been reported that the bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their families, and various reports on the facts have already been obtained, such as an external inspection of the derailed passenger cars, expert work in the preparation of technical opinions. "As well as the obtaining of various certificates and photographic evidence, vehicle identification, causality of facts, right of way, video recording of people, places and objects, as well as necropsy studies, among others," the FGR explained. Additionally, the FGR reported progress in interventions regarding the extraction of the locomotive's black box, the lifting of the derailed unit, and the practice of expert examinations.
